myManta supports the creation of a forecast or pipeline commonly used in measuring progress through a sales cycle or business development process. The pipeline list provides for tracking of your sales cycle from new prospects through to closed business by specifying the percent close.
To add a company to the pipeline, first go to the company list on your myManta homepage. On the company list, click on the “N” in the Pipeline column for any company that you would like to add. You will be prompted to toggle on the “In Pipeline?” feature. Check the box and the value will change to “Y.” If you want to remove a company from your pipeline, click the “Y” and uncheck the “In Pipeline?” feature.
Once a company is added to the pipeline, click on the My Pipeline tab to review or edit your forecast.
Within the My Pipeline tab, you can specify the following information for each opportunity that exists within your pipeline:
• The opportunity name
• The opportunity amount
• Percent to close
• Estimated close date
• Next step
Name Your Opportunity
When you mouse over the “Opportunity” column, the “Opportunity” box for each company changes to blue. Clicking in the box opens a form for you to type your notes about this specific opportunity.This information can be updated at any time by clicking the “Opportunity” box for this company again.
Size of Deal
Click on the “Size of Deal” column to enter or update the dollar amount of the opportunity.
Enter the amount as a numeric value; for example, type 200000 to represent $200,000. Dollar amounts will be formatted in U.S. dollars. If you enter anything other than numbers, you will receive an error message.
Percent Close
Click on the drop-down menu in the “% Close” column to review the values established for tracking the movement of a prospect through your pipeline. Click on a value that most closely represents where this opportunity exists within your sales cycle. The value can be changed anytime.
Estimated Close
Click the “Estimated Close” column to specify the date you anticipate closing this deal.
Next Step
Click the “Next Step” column to specify what needs to occur next in order to move this opportunity forward within your pipeline.
Enter the subject and details of the next step. You can specify a start and end date and time and you can even save it directly into your Microsoft Outlook calendar. (You may be prompted to open another application before adding this to Outlook.)
