Torres and Associates was established by Juan Jose Torres back in November of 1980. Juan migrated over to the United States from Mexico City in 1969. There has always been a strong influence from family when it came to career goals. A lot of Juan’s uncles were also accountants which sparked his interest in this field of business. Having had studied at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), Juan obtained a degree in Bachelors of science in Accounting. Not only did Juan pursue his dream of becoming an Accountant but also opening his very own accounting firm. Coming from a background that values family and the importance of giving back to the community Juan decided to open his business in Little Village, Chicago. Since then, Juan has created a vast clientele that have trusted him with all their accounting and tax needs. In January of 1989 Miguel Angel Torres (Brother of Juan Torres), began his lifelong journey at Torres and Associates. Miguel was influenced to study Accounting as well because of Juan. As Miguel studied to become an accountant he continued to work at the office. Not only did this give him insight on what his career would look like but this also gave him the opportunity to connect with the clients. Miguel went on to finish his schooling and graduated from Kaplan University with a degree in Bachelors of Science in Accounting. Since then, Miguel has grown his clientele immensely and continues to work alongside the family business. Torres y Asociados fue establecida por Juan Torres en noviembre de 1980.
