Dr. Deyanira Prastein is a member of the St. Joseph's/Candler Physician Network. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Prastein did a fellowship in cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support at Cambridge University (UK) at Royal Papworth Hospital, followed by a fellowship in thoracic transplantation and mechanical circulatory support from Duke University Medical Center. She is board certified in general and cardiothoracic surgery, a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and she specializes in all aspects of cardiothoracic care, including minimally-invasive diagnosis and treatment.
