No one likes “dirty laundry” yet it's in our everyday lives and we realized that our community needed an larger, cleaner and updated self-serve laundromat. After some time and research, we embarked on a dream to make that happen in 2021. With COVID running rampant, we still pushed forward. But where do you start? We knew we needed the perfect location. While that was one of the hardest parts in our journey, we looked at many properties, but my wife set her eyes on a location and didn’t let go. She said, “I’m going to write to the owners and see if they want to sell”. So she did, and about a week later she got the call, they were at a point where they didn’t want to lease anymore, and they ready to sell. Construction started right away with the demolition, stripping the inside to its very core. The sp-equipment representative came in and started sketching the layout, gas lines were placed, bulk head were set in their spots, electrical, everything was moving right along. Deese Elite Concrete Coatings came in and did our floor. We just needed the equipment. At this point it was around July 2022, we had set an open date of the first week of August, but that date wasn’t going to happen. Our equipment was stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean, but with a lot of phone calls and conversations, we were able to get the exact equipment delivered, installed and tested. On September 16, 2022, we opened our first laundromat location, "Laundry Room". And we’ve just opened a wash and fold at this location, come see one of our attendants for more information. And each new customer gets a free wash and fold bag with their first order that holds 30 pounds of laundry! A second location? You have heard that right, we purchased our second location right before Christmas of last year, and it’s located at 1002 N. Jefferson Street. Many may know it as the Perry Laundromat. Now that location has been around a long time, and needs a little TLC, and we’ve been working hard on cleaning it up, but my wife and I are up for the task! We will be bringing in some new large washers and dryers, so you will see us moving things around in order to prepare for the delivery. And we’ve put in a brand new change machine, out with the old.
