Kristen comes to CVMW after 11 years as a mental health, school social worker in Minnesota and Iowa. She received her BA/BSW from Loras College and her MSW from the University of Northern Iowa. Kristen worked in adult residential & community mental health and a DBT clinic in St. Paul, MN. Kristen has experience with trauma-informed and culturally responsive mental health practices. She also uses an integrated therapeutic approach that focuses on each individual's unique strengths and needs. Kristen is trained in Conscious Discipline, a brain-based approach for both children and parents. She also has extensive experience working with neurodiverse children. Kristen's passion is Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Parent Education.
