Dr. Joao (Joe) Panattoni is a board-certified, fellowship-trained hand surgeon who joined Vero Orthopaedics in 2018. He specializes in surgical and microsurgical care for the hand and wrist, using the latest techniques to treat patients with loss of function. His expertise includes nerve, tendon, ligament, and joint repairs, utilizing state-of-the-art procedures like microsurgery and wide-awake hand surgery. Dr. Panattoni earned his medical degree from Marilia Medical School in Brazil and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Municipal Hospital of Tatuapé. He furthered his training with fellowships in hand surgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute and National University Hospital in Singapore. A recertified member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he has also taught residents at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys sports and outdoor activities with his wife and three daughters.
