Calm Mind Counseling Center was founded in 2019 with the mission of helping people find hope, resolution and meaningful change. Calm Mind Counseling Center was founded in 2019 with the mission of helping people find hope, resolution and meaningful change. We are a leading resource in the Western Suburbs for trauma-informed care and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).​Trauma-informed means that we look at the full lifespan of a client and contextualize all of the events that have impacted their current struggles. A trauma-informed approach helps clients leave therapy feeling empowered and hopeful, by addressing a specific trauma or examining how the “little things” they’ve experienced add up to a a negative view of themselves or the world around them.
