In 2024 I, Joseph B Keller, hired Wilcox Septic Solutions, which is owned and operated by Mr Wilcox, to complete a landscaping and site preparation project at my property in Georgia. The total cost of the project was 7500 dollars. We had a written agreement stating that the work would begin on October 7, 2024, and be completed by October 10, 2024. I paid a deposit of 3750 dollars, which was 50 percent of the total cost, to secure those dates. However, no crew or equipment ever arrived.
Despite multiple promises from Mr Wilcox that the job would start the following Monday, nothing happened. Over the course of six weeks, I made numerous attempts to get the matter resolved. I reached out by phone, sent emails, mailed a formal request, and even offered to mediate the situation through the Better Business Bureau. None of these efforts received a meaningful response. Eventually, I was left with no choice but to file a claim in Ben Hill County Magistrate Court in order to seek a resolution.
Mr Wilcox's complete lack of performance is a clear violation of our agreement and, in my opinion, a breach of contract under Georgia law. What made the experience worse was the consistent lack of communication and disregard for basic business ethics. I have kept all records related to this matter, including emails, invoices, photos, and court filings, which support every detail mentioned here.
If Mr Wilcox returns the deposit and compensates for the related damages, I will update this review to reflect that resolution. Until then, I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious. Based on my personal experience, I believe hiring Wilcox Septic Solutions involves a serious risk of financial loss and project delays. At this time, I cannot recommend their services.
