My son Chad and I are committed to bringing back the old-time butcher shop to our hometown of Surprise! Our family has always enjoyed spending time out on the ranch. My son Chad and I are committed to bringing back the old-time butcher shop to our hometown of Surprise! Our family has always enjoyed spending time out on the ranch. We’ve been going to Broken Box in Virden, NM for more than 20 years to visit, help out and spend time with our friends and owners, Lonnie and Rachel Haught. It’s been our dream to open a direct ranch-to-butcher shop for a long time. A little over a year ago, Lonnie and I started working on a plan to make it happen. The road to getting here hasn’t been easy, but we’re proud of what we’re going to be able to offer our customers.
