The rental side of this company is terrible! NEVER rent from them!! They took advantage of us knowing we were coming from a different state. They didn't do any kind of inspection after the roof was ripped of during the hurricane and didn't have a legal right to rent the house. We never got a walk through to talk about what was wrong with the house. What was wrong: - The HVAC broke and my then 20 month old son got hypothermia. People have died from that. That wasn't fixed for over a week during this extreme weather we had last winter. We had to heat our house with space heaters and opening the oven while it was on. - We had obvious black mold in multiple places including my sons play room. No one did anything about that for almost a month despite multiple calls and texts! And when they did "fix it", they cut the mold out and threw it away. Didn't test it to see how bad it was for us to be breathing. - The water heater broke. Took a couple days to get a new one. - The refrigerator was broken and would spray water all over the kitchen randomly. - The stove was a glass top and had a huge crack in it that they wouldn't fix. - The dishwasher broke. When they did "fix it" it fell out of the counter in under a month. - The microwave had a short in it. Never fixed. - Some rooms didn't even have heat or electricity when we first moved in and it took over a month to get that fixed. To say they were negligent is an understatement. To top that off, because we were talking to the landlord so often about their deficiencies, I feel like we got labeled as problems for them and they did things to intimidate my wife when I was at work. They sent contractors that would say really rude things to my wife or just didn't want to work. One eluded to how much time he has and that maybe when my son takes his nap, the contractor and my wife could "hang out a bit". Literally what he said. Another, knowing we were worried about the mold situation they didn't want to fix, kept making comments about how our son was probably going to get sick. Another sat outside on his phone for over an hour while we were heating our house in 30 degree weather with the oven and space heaters. DO NOT rent from this company.
