For more than three decades, Paul Kerley of Salem, Oregon, has used his skills in identifying financially viable real estate to build a successful career in property ownership and management. Educated at Montana State University, where he earned a degree in economics, he later attended Willamette University’s College of Law, where he completed a law degree with an emphasis in business and real estate. A member of the Oregon State Bar, Paul Kerley was a practicing attorney for a decade while also acquiring and managing rental properties and overseeing up to 100 employees simultaneously. Mr. Kerley obtained his real estate broker’s license, and for some time, brokered significant financial transactions in the multi-million dollar range. Among the most significant was one involving the $34 million sale of six shopping centers. He eventually left the law practice and brokering to focus on several companies he built that include Commercial Property Resources, Inc., among numerous others that he owns or has a 50 percent partnership in. Most recently, he purchased the 38-unit Heatherstone Apartments and the 92-unit Whitman Park Apartments, both complexes located in Salem.
