If I could give this company a -5⭐️ that would still be a positive review compared to what it deserves. We hired Carolina Custom Tile (Randy Archer) to tile a master bath floor & shower area. Unfortunately we are forced to demolished and redo everything he did because of his shoddy work. Randy didn’t seem to used a level until we gave him ours which revealed his lines were 1/4” off on a 60” shower wall. He said he would fix it by cutting the high side down with a grinding wheel. We’re now discovering 2/3 of the shower tiles were just back buttered and not set in thin set using this tool the industry calls a notched trowel. The shower floor was pitched backwards away from the drain. The mosaic shower floor had so much thin set the mosaics were submerged so deep that there left little if any room for grout. Application of the Schluter metal edgings lacked ANY thin set to secure them. Spacers??!!...Not one tile has the same spacing. Apparently he doesn’t need them as he’s good at eyeing it. A 4” shower curb was pitched 1/4” and wasn’t sealed or securely cemented down. Lastly he poured his bucket of cement water on the sidewalk which we had to of course scrub clean. Now I know the reason he said he doesn’t like the customer there while he works. How do people like this sleep at night. Wish I could post pictures but I will certainly make clear to tile stores not to recommend Carolina Custom Tiles and to take this company off their list of
