When evaluating where the next logical expansion point would be for their growing business, putting a stake in the ground in Manassas, Va. was a natural decision.
Situated just on the fringe of Washington DC reach and still keeping with a rural, down-home feel, the Furman family felt opening their sixth store on Sudley Road, between the hustle of 66 and the small-town feel of Historic Manassas was a logical step.
‘We felt this area needed a shop like ours,’ says Jamie Furman Jr., manager of the family’s newest store. ‘We saw a need for a shop with extensive reach, inventory and experience and we are eager to serve this area.’
With the industry constantly sensationalized through the popularity of reality shows dealing with the industry, The Furman family brings expertise and customer service sometimes overlooked in this business.
Their 36-years of experience have taught the Furmans it is not only important to look at the bottom line, but to also understand that the ‘selling to’ and the ‘serving of’ their customers goes hand in hand.
‘We pride ourselves in being friendly and understanding to the needs of our customers,’ Jamie Jr. says. ‘We care about them and feel their experience here is the beginning of a relationship — not just a transaction. We want people who sell, pawn or buy with us to come back again and again.’
