This company does not even deserve one star. I spoke with the owner, Dan Giroux on October 20th about getting some spray foam work done in my house. He told me he could come by and price it on Saturday (23rd) and Spray it the following Saturday (30th). He never came by to check it out but we discussed price by the Board Foot (Per In) and I said I would remove some additional walls to have spray foamed and he confirmed the 30th again for a spray day. Being from out of state I had a contractor in the area do some gutting on the house and I went up with a crew to make sure it was all ready for spraying. We removed a lot of walls I would have left up as they were well insulated but since he was coming to spray anyway I figured might as well seal the house up as best as I could. Anyway the Spray day came and Giroux Builders never showed. I tried calling & texting mid day too make sure everything was good and if there was an issue a new spray day, nothing. THEN my calls started going straight to voice mail. Tried calling for a few days until I recently tried from a friends phone and it rang the full amount and went to voice mail, I tried and right to Voice mail, confirmed this a few times and apparently he blocked me on his phone. Why? I have no idea? My money is plenty green and would have loved to give it to him as he was recommended. If he didn't want the job he could have said so. If there was an issue he could have said so. Instead I now have a fully gutted house that I need to search for a new foam contractor for racing the weather as it is getting cold out and without foam I can not have Drywall, without Drywall I cant hang the heating system (Split units) So anyway as far as Giroux Builders they are a joke. A little communication could have avoided this bad review, I am very understanding when it comes to set backs and such but here we are. Anyway if you are looking for a trustworthy contractor Dan Giroux is NOT your guy. Edit. Shortly after doing this review he contacted me because his nephew who owns a great dumpster company in town who I use made him call me. We setup another time for him to go, he gave me an exact price and hired him. He then gave me probably about a dozen dates for when he would do it yet he blew off every single one. Finally after him blowing me off a 3rd day in a row he called me and told me this was low priority and wasn't going to do it. He could have just said this from the beginning but instead he wasted another month of mine so now my house will sit all winter long in bare studs. Again avoid this joker and use a real company.
