My carbon monoxide detector went off last night, so being a new home owner and not knowing what was going on I called my parents who told me to call their heating contractor that they have been using for over 25 years P.Longo heating & air conditioning, So I called them and they advised me to shut off the heating system and open the windows and they were sending out a technician immediately. The technician arrived 20 minutes later to find that my gas furnace heat exchanger had a crack in it, which was causing the carbon monoxide to enter my home. Thank god they took the time to advise me to open my windows and shut down my heating system. It turns out my furnace was over 30 years old and needed to be replaced. They worked up an estimate to replace my heating system and left me with some portable heaters to get thru the night with. I found their price was very fair and the job they did on replacing my heating system was excellent. I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a good heating contractor.
