I used to live at the Exclusive Board and Care Home in 1990, and believe it or not, it was one of the worst places I ever lived in my entire life. The woman who ran the place, her name was Geneva Sparks, and her daughter Annie Fuller, helped her run the place. Anyway, all residents had to wake up at 6 each morning, make their beds and take baths or showers, and any resident who did not succeed in doing so would get balled out very badly. And every afternoon, until 4:00 when it was time for dinner, all residents were required to sit in the backyard, in all that hot sunshine, with nothing to do but talk to each other or be bored. And when it was dinnertime, the food that Annie made was lousy, we usually had tripe for dinner each night. For another fact, most of the residents were autistic, and only me and a couple others were able to carry on a conversation and take responsibilities. I was going to school at City College at the time, and they wouldn't allow me to do my homework. And whenever any of the residents did the least wrong things, even if it was the autistic, Annie would jump on your case real hard and threaten to call 911. And even Mrs Sparks would put down the autistics and belittle somebody as capable as I was. Mrs Sparks and Annie were jealous of me, because I was working my way towards the outer world, and was more able to do stuff, while the others weren't. Mrs Sparks even used to forge my checks, and I'd go to my Mom's house after dinner, and tell her all the bad things Mrs Sparks was doing, and when she'd call Mrs Sparks and start complaining, Mrs Sparks would next start jumping on my case. And every resident had to go to bed at 8:00 each night, and whoever was not in the house by 8 was not allowed to go back in there again, and every time I tried doing my homework, Mrs Sparks or Annie would say, "Put that homework away and get to bed, or I'm gonna call 911. See how rotten and mean they are? They treat adults like they're 6 year old children, and don't even give you adult rights. They don't even let you stay up past 8 on Friday or Saturday nights, and on 4th of July that year, they wouldn't even let me go see fireworks. Yes indeed, the Exclusive Board and Care Home is the lousiest place I ever lived at, and if any client is to be placed in a board and care, I strongly warn him not to be placed at Exclusive, because if he is, he will not like it there, just like I didn't.
