I was nearly run into another car and in an accident today because of the recklessness of a driver who works under your company. The name on the side of the truck was Young's Towing Service, phone number 757-409-5717. At around 3:30pm today I was driving in an exit lane to get from 264 East to 64 west between Norfolk and Virginia Beach. It was raining heavily, so much so that everyone on the interstate was slowing down. Visibility was poor and there was a lot of traffic. I was driving the speed limit and saw the truck with yellow lights flashing, coming up very fast behind me. He came up so close on my bumper that I could not see his headlights, and he began weaving back and forth behind me trying to get around all while blaring his horn continuously. I was in the left lane because it was leading to an exit lane, which I missed because of your driver. A tow truck is not an emergency vehicle and other drivers are not required to yield way to them. There was no way for me to get over at the time. Still, the driver tried to push around me using part of the shoulder lane, so I had to edge closer to the car on my right and then gradually duck behind them to avoid being hit by the tow truck. I was able to see the name of the towing company and phone number on the door but sadly it was not safe for me to get close enough to read a plate or truck number. I wish I could have because this situation was bad enough I'd have contacted police. This driver proceeded to weave through cars and barrel his way to the right lane and get off on Newtown Rd, begging the question as to why he was in such a hurry to push me out of the left lane. I hope this isn't representative of drivers for this company but thought you should be aware. Very sad that a tow truck rushing, I assume, to the scene of an accident very nearly caused another one.
