Benjamin S. Campagna was born in Fort Hood, Texas, to a military family, and grew up in Angleton, Texas, where he was valedictorian of his class. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and double majored in Government and Linguistics. While there, Mr. Campagna helped to establish several organizations, including the Resident Assistant Association, the Italian-American Culture Club, and the Zeta Theta Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. He also interned for three summers with the Southwestern Company selling educational materials to families in their homes, and later worked full time with the Southwestern Company as a recruiter and manager before attending law school. Mr. Campagna went back to the University of Texas at Austin for law school, where he was an editor for the American Journal of Criminal Law and a clerk for Legal Services for Students, an organization which provides free legal services to university students. He graduated in 2011 and joined the law firm of Shannon Porter & Johnson in September of that year.
Mr. Campagna is married to his lovely wife Sarah, and the two have a young daughter named Margaret. The Campagnas attend the Christian Church of San Angelo and are very involved in the San Angelo community: as an Eagle Scout, Mr. Campagna believes that scouting is important for character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness, and he currently serves as Legal Counsel on the Executive Board of the Texas Southwest Council of the Boy Scouts of America and as District Chair of the Concho Valley District. Mr. Campagna also currently serves as the Secretary of the Tom Green County Young Lawyers Association, and is a member of the San Angelo Downtown Kiwanis Club. In his limited free time, Mr. Campagna enjoys cooking and gaming.
