My 6 year old daughter broke her arm Saturday September 7th. She was taken to Preble County Medical Center. x-rays were taken and I was told that it was non-displaced and surgery was not expected. She was sent home and told to follow up with an orthopedic dr in 1-2 days, no big deal if she didn't get seen till the end of the week. Dr McClurg at Reid Orthopedics reviewed it Monday said she needs surgery ASAP and she should have never have been sent home that day, she should have immediately been sent to Dayton or Indy to have surgery. Fracture was displaced. I was then sent to Peyton Manning Children Hospital and had surgery the next day. I do not recommend Preble County Medical Center. I feel that if they are going to accept fracture patients than they should have an orthopedic doctor on call reviewing the x-rays and making recommendations. example surgery now. I recommend you drive a little farther to Reid Hospital next time....
