Last year, a now former friend borrowed my car to "go to work" . I later find out that he had taken it over 70 miles away to Sullivan. He incompacatated the vehicle somehow in Wal Mart parking lot. He called for a tow, and Chuck's towing arrived. My friend asked if they could just tow it to their location untill he could contact me.the driver said yes and towed my car. By the time I heard about what had happened the car had been there 2 days. And when I spoke with a lady who answered. I was shocked to learn that my car was being treated like an impound. And the bill was already over $500. THEY WOULDNT EVEN LET ME GET MY THINGS OUT OF CAR UNLESS I signed the title over to them AND PAY $100. WHICH I BELIEVE IS ILLEGAL. I DID HOURS OF RESEARCH AND EVERY PLACE I LOOK SAYS I AM BY LAW ABLE TO TAKE MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS OUT FREE OF CHARGE. I. Have lost my job, my home, and soon my family because I was never able to catch up to get my car. My tools were in the trunk . So I couldn't work to feed my family.i am on a friend's couch.
