We have done business with several veterinarians in Europe and the United States over the years and were becoming discouraged until we met Kelleen Koppenhaver. Her honesty, integrity, down-to-earth attitude, and common sense approach to veterinary medicine are refreshing and appreciated in this world of corporate-run, for-profit veterinary practices focused on making money. Instead of running dozens of expensive tests and procedures, Kelleen uses her natural intuition and perceptions, knowledge of anatomy, function, behavior, objective observations, and extensive lifelong experiences coupled with only the necessary tests to diagnose and create a treatment plan. Once she has a diagnosis, she outlines the treatment options, cost, and anticipated outcomes to help the owner choose an option. She is an attentive listener and practical problem-solver in helping to determine the most beneficial course of treatment. Unlike vets I have worked with in the past, she keeps her services reasonably priced and affordable.
Kelleen is a second-generation Colorado veterinarian, learning practical skills, common sense problem-solving, and acquiring significant veterinary and animal wisdom working beside her father at Koppenhafer Animal Services in Colorado. Kelleen had already had years of hands-on experience before attending veterinary school, which gave her an uncanny understanding and feel for her animal patients. Kelleen uses her intuition, education, common sense, and well-developed instincts to treat animals, both large and small, successfully, and is always willing to educate owners and offer assistance. We highly recommend Kelleen Koppenhafer as a veterinarian.
