I’d just evicted a tenant and needed the lock changed. When I called them up on 585-358-0325 and asked them to help me install a new lock I’d purchased from the nearby hardware shop, little did I expect them to get there so fast. I think the technician arrived in about ten minutes! Wow, that was super quick! Anyway, once I showed him the lock I needed installed, Eric from General Locksmith Store told me that it wasn’t a great one and the existing one would do a better job at securing my property. I couldn’t believe it! I’d just paid $100 for it, and Eric dismissed it as something completely useless. That’s when he explained how a DIY rekeyable lock wasn’t great for security. If you could do it, anyone could do it – that’s what he said! He had a point! I planned on returning the lock. Eric suggested that I rekey the existing the lock, which I did! Thanks to Eric and his entire team at General Locksmith Store for helping me out! You guys surely are the best in Pittsford!! Would I recommend them? YES!

I’m not exatly what you’d call a review person. In fact this could easily be the first ever detailed review that I’m posting online. A few weeks ago, I ended up misplacing my key bunch. No matter how much I racked my brains, I couldn’t figure out where it’d gone. I strongly suspected that someone had stolen it and being as paranoid asI was, I dropped by a hardware shop for advice. The guy over there told me I needed to get all my locks replaced and was trying to convince me into buying a whole bunch of locks. These guys had a bunch of positive reviews and I decided to call them up. To be honest, it was one of the best things I’d ever found online. The technician who came to my place was a pure professional! He laughed off my idea of replacing the locks and suggested getting the locks rekeyed instead. He was done in about an hour, handed me new keys, installed a key safe to make sure I never lose my keys again. Best service firm in Pittsford. And the bill – I don’t think I’d have found a better deal than them at such a reasonable price.

Not a great fan of locksmiths! When you’ve been tricked into buying unwanted stuff, charged $250 for opening up a locked car or reduced to waiting for hours for the person to get there, I’m sure you’d share the same feelings I used to! A friend of mine lost her purse that had everything – her phone, wallet, keys, and cards. She had to get home to her kids ( whom she had left with a sitter) and needed access to the car. I called General Locksmith Store and explained the situation. They sent a technician to the location in quick time. I’d called them around 10 pm and they got there by 10:25 pm. I thought it would take forever since I knew how modern cars were – you needed to not just cut but also program the keys. The technician from General Locksmith Store, James I think, really knew his stuff. He had this fully equipped workshop in his van that allowed him to make a key onsite. You guys rock! Stupendous work indeed…. Got locked out of my car with the keys inside and I panicked. I called my friend who referred me to General Locksmith Store. Great locksmith – and excellent prices! I called nearly 3 other locksmiths for the job, but the price quoted by General Locksmith Store was the lowest. Without hesitance, I hired them. The technician arrived within 20 minutes and was very friendly and helpful. There were some adjustments to be made on the fly, but Kevin didn’t charge us anything extra for additional labor. The new locks and fixed door knobs work perfectly and better than they ever did – and it’s all thanks to Kevin.
