ALAFIA DESIGN
Alafia is a word of imprecise origin, used by the Yorubas as a greeting, as well as designating a state of mind similar to the sum of 'well being' and 'happiness'. ... when I decided to make agbês by order in 2007, I began to record the word in the instruments that it produced. Was the form I found of translating into a word the esteem and affection with which those pieces were made, and the desire for good things to happen to those to whom they were intended. Alfa fullness.
