Ok, here’s my honest opinion of Baldwin Locksmith Store .. Despite reading several positive comments, I wasn’t entirely convinced. One fine day, after an accidental collision damaged my garage door, I needed someone to come over and fix it right away. Jones from the local shop I regularly call was away on vacation. That’s when I decided to give Baldwin Locksmith Store a call! I decided to go grab a drink not anticipating their arrival for an hour at least. I got back after half an hour and to my surprise, I found a locksmith already waiting at my doorstep. After I’d apologized for not being available, I showed him the damaged door. After a careful assessment of the damage, he told me that a portion of the door needed to be replaced and gave me a price right there. That was my next surprise! The pricing seemed reasonable and way less than what Jones would have otherwise charged me! He got the job done within the hour and I couldn’t be happier! You guys rock! Stupendous work indeed…. Got locked out of my car with the keys inside and I panicked. I called my friend who referred me to Baldwin Locksmith Store. I’d just evicted a tenant and needed the lock changed. When I called them up on 518-282-2049 and asked them to help me install a new lock I’d purchased from the nearby hardware shop, little did I expect them to get there so fast. I think the technician arrived in about ten minutes! Wow, that was super quick! Anyway, once I showed him the lock I needed installed, Eric from Baldwin Locksmith Store told me that it wasn’t a great one and the existing one would do a better job at securing my property. I couldn’t believe it! I’d just paid $100 for it, and Eric dismissed it as something completely useless. That’s when he explained how a DIY rekeyable lock wasn’t great for security. If you could do it, anyone could do it – that’s what he said! He had a point! I planned on returning the lock. Eric suggested that I rekey the existing the lock, which I did! A friend of mine lost her purse that had everything – her phone, wallet, keys, and cards. She had to get home to her kids ( whom she had left with a sitter) and needed access to the car. Hired Baldwin Locksmith Store to rekey the locks throughout the apartment complex. On time, polite and very professional, Jeff got the job done in less than two hours. I was very impressed with his speed and more so with his focus on customer service. Though I’d only asked him to rekey the lock on the gate, Jeff went above and beyond fine tuning the gate hinge to make sure it didn’t slam shut and wake everyone up. So considerate and helpful! Great locksmith – and excellent prices! I called nearly 3 other locksmiths for the job, but the price quoted by Baldwin Locksmith Store was the lowest. Without hesitance, I hired them. The technician arrived within 20 minutes and was very friendly and helpful. There were some adjustments to be made on the fly, but Kevin didn’t charge us anything extra for additional labor. The new locks and fixed door knobs work perfectly and better than they ever did – and it’s all thanks to Kevin.
