After locking myself out of my home, I was left helpless standing on the porch. My neighbors were away, and I had no habit of stowing away keys under vases. We had one-of-a-kind metal doors guarding the street entrance to our building. There was a problem with the door locks which refused to lock due to a misalignment. I had called a locksmith from a store nearby, who had no success in fixing it, if possible he only made it even worse. It wasn’t expected. Only hours earlier I’d put in important files for a presentation in the cabinet for safekeeping and now the key was nowhere to be found.
