I got new locks, repairs on a few doors, had a new front door installed, and other locks were rekeyed. All this, and exceptional customer service at a value-for-money price. Somehow, the replacement key I’d got managed to break in about two weeks. The worst part was that it just didn’t break at some random place, it broke inside the lock. So now there were pieces of the key stuck in the lock which made it impossible for me to operate it with the spare I had. I called Metro Master Locksmith on 515-231-1397! They were about the only ones who were open late at night, according to my neighbor. And sure enough, a rep answered my call and assured me of sending help right away. Within minutes, there was a locksmith at my doorstep. David was careful not to damage the lock while he extracted the broken pieces. He took one look at it and asked me if I’d got it made at a hardware shop. I did, yes, but how did he know that? Apparently, such stores use low-grade material and improper techniques to cut keys, hence, the absurdly short life. David got a new key made right there and I could definitely make out the difference in terms of quality. To my surprise, all this cost me less than what I’d paid at the store…. So, I needed a new lock. After enquiring in several stores, I finally struck a good bargain down at a hardware shop. But what came after was something I didn’t anticipate! I’ve attempted lock installations on my windows a couple of times, and was confident I could nail this one too. An hour later, as I looked down at the now-completely-ruined-lock, it was clear that I shouldn’t have been this over-confident at my abilities. I decided to call a locksmith from Metro Master Locksmith to take a look at the damage I’d done on the lock and the door. Turns out, it wasn’t entirely my fault. The lock I was sold was a completely useless one to begin with. That was 50 bucks right down the drain! Thanks to David from Metro Master Locksmith for all the help! He installed a good quality lock on my front door within minutes!!! The price for the lock and the service fee didn’t cost me as much as it did earlier! I had an urgent meeting to attend in the next one hour. But it was one of those days that had bad luck written all over it. First, I spent nearly 5 minutes trying to get my door to lock. The lock was quite old and it was finally starting to show its signs. Being already late, I quickly rushed to my car, fumbled for my car keys and when I turned the car key in the lock, it snapped! Call it fate or blame it on the force I exerted on the key, either way I didn’t feel as helpless as I did at that moment. The technician seemed friendly and promised me that someone will be over to my place soon. I barely waited for 10 minutes when they sent Dave over. He carefully took out the broken pieces, and crafted a copy key right there within a few minutes! I couldn’t believe it. Stunned by the level of service, I even scheduled an appointment for the following evening and asked Dave to give my home locks a quick once-over. Ever since that day, I’ve never switched over to another firm in Clive. Metro Master Locksmith is simply the best!
