We had an AC Unit installed in 2013 by “Baird’s Air Conditioning”. This company has been dissolved, but the former owner Richard Baird is now the VP of Pleasant Air, and their company license (#CAC057618) is under his name. We have just learned that our unit was not installed to code and would need multiple things done to bring it to code. We contacted Pleasant Air in effort to resolve the issue, and they denied having any affiliation with Richard Baird stating they just bought his book of business and have had numerous complaints about work from his previous company. After sending an e-mail stating again that we were attempting to reach a resolution before filing a formal complaint against the license, Richard called us. He requested we send the original invoice for the unit and said that someone from Pleasant Air would come out to make the issue right. We sent the invoice and were told that it was not an actual invoice. When we replied that the document was in fact titled “job invoice” we were told we need to pull our own permit and hire a license company to bring the work to code. We are beyond disappointed that the job was done poorly to begin with, that we were misled about Pleasant Air’s affiliation with Richard Baird and that we were strung along with ultimately no willingness for them to right this issue.
