I wasn’t sure what lock I needed, a friend suggested going the old-fashioned way and using a padlock, whereas a neighbor recommended getting a deadbolt installed. John carried out a full assessment, asked me a couple of questions, and suggested that I go in for a keyless lock. I had a history of losing keys, and he figured this would work best. I couldn’t agree with him more! He fitted a brand new lock in no time, showed me a demo and doled out tips on getting the best out of it.

It was one of those unexpected moments – I’d just stepped out of my apartment to pick up the newspaper and milk when a gust of wind slammed the door shut. Standing in my PJs, I felt utterly embarrassed. I didn’t even have my phone with me to call for help. Thankfully, Jess, my neighbor, checked in on me and called up Greater South Side Locksmith Store. Barely ten minutes had passed, David had arrived and worked his locksmithing magic on my lock – and it opened a few seconds later. He was kind enough to alter the lock so it didn’t happen again. Great service! And the best part was the prices – it cost me next to nothing.

"I needed spare keys and I sought out the cheapest option – the local hardware store. They seemed to work fine at first, but 3 months down the line, one of the keys broke in the lock. It came as quite a shocker! The pieces were firmly lodged inside the lock, no other spare would work on it and I was locked out of my own apartment. Thankfully, Greater South Side Locksmith Store came to my rescue. The broken key pieces were extracted, the lock fixed and I had a new set of keys made.
Gary assured me that the keys wouldn’t break off like the cheap ones I got made, but would last me years.
