If I could give negative stars, I would. He seemed like a good, reliable guy so we agreed to have him build a garage/pole barn, excavation and all. We paid for and had delivered several thousand dollars worth of materials, including three dump loads of fill.
Friday he was to drop off his bulldozer and Saturday begin work. No-show Friday, no-show Saturday. No phone calls, no replies to our texts or messages. We thought he had had some accident or something. I'm used to people not returning phone calls, but no one would just leave you hanging like that! A few days later, an employee of his called to say that Brad was too busy and couldn't do it. I guess he was not only unreliable, but too much of a coward to call and apologize for his own failure. Now we're left with a driveway full of dirt and building supplies. The snow is falling, the ground is freezing, and we are stuck.
Googling "Brad Kyler" to find out what might have happened to him, we did find that a year ago, he was charged with some felonies in connection with fraudulent bidding on some project in Ellicottville. I don't know what ever came of that, but clearly this is one contractor to stay away from.
