Rosemary Furtek is a New Jersey state licensed speech and language pathologist specializing in the assessment of children and young adults. Rosemary has worked as a speech and language pathologist since 1985, providing speech therapy services in the public and private schools, for a home health agency, and in a hospital setting. Rosemary began a part-time private practice four years ago based out of Wayne, NJ where she currently provides her services and therapy. With a Master's in communication sciences and disorders from Montclaire State University, Rosemary did her Clinical Fellowship Year at the former Dover General Hospital and was contracted to provide home health services from Christ Hospital Home Health. She worked in the public and private school systems for over 30 years. Her experience includes therapy for apraxia, dysarthria, cluttering, stuttering, word retrieval difficulty, vocal nodules, accent reduction, auditory processing, and language disorders. Rosemary has a NJ reading instructor certification, as well as experience working with children who have phonemic/phonological awareness problems that could negatively affect their oral reading, decoding, and spelling.
