I applied for the Event Promotions Coordinator position and Amanda stated that the position was new. I received an phone call about the position and the assistant couldn't give any details about it due to her being new as well and knowing nothing about the position available. I show up 15 minutes before my scheduled time. I walk in and the receptionist has music blaring and she's on her personal phone talking over the music. I immediately thought "wow" and took my seat. I waited 45 minutes before I was seen, there was a guy who showed up the same time I did which Amanda saw first. I finally get my chance to interview. We went over the normal interview questions and talked a little on a personal level. The interview went very well in my opinion. Amanda stated that I would receive a phone call or email whether I received the position or not by the end of the week.
Fast forward to the end of the week Florence was taking place so I didn't expect anyone to reach out. I waited until Monday to reach out. I called and emailed 95% of my calls went unanswered and once when Elizabeth answered she stated that she didn't know anything and would have someone give me a call. I stopped by and received the run around as well. I was told I would receive a call back by the end of the week again. No call, no email, no communication.
In short this is the most unprofessional experience I ever encountered with a business. I am very disappointed. I really hope QCB can get it together.
