Terrible and costly experience. He didn't do what he said and charged $1,300 for repairs that didn't work! If you want a mechanic that begins work without your permission, demands to be paid even when his repairs don't work, and repeatedly lies to you, Carlos is your man! FULL STORY My friend was in an accident. The car had steering problems and body damage. Carlos said he could fix both. My friend asked Carlos to give her a quote. Naturally, she wanted to have the steering work done first. She didn't want to end up with a beautiful car that was unsafe to drive! (Spoiler: that is exactly what happened.) Instead of giving her a quote, Carlos began working on the car without my friend's permission! When Carlos called my friend to pick up the car, the steering was dangerous. The car would veer towards the curb, sometimes to the left and sometimes to the right! Carlos said it just needed an alignment. My friend found a shop that does alignments and had the car taken there. After putting the car on the lift, the mechanic said they wouldn't even try to do the alignment because the steering hardware was too messed up. Carlos demanded payment anyway. He was pushy about it, promising he would take the car the next day to a mechanic he trusted to do alignments. After he got paid, Carlos never came to get the car. We would contact him again and he'd be pushy again before agreeing again to take it for alignment. This went on for two weeks. Finally, I told him that I was very unhappy and that I would have to write a 1 star review for his shop if he didn't make the car safe to drive, as he'd promised. He said, "I don't care." Really? Who wants a mechanic that doesn't care if he leaves you with an undrivable car after promising to repair it? We will never go back to Carlos, that's for sure!
