I had to stop at the Bakersfield airport as a transient last Saturday due to weather. Before I could depart, I had to have a couple of maintenance items fixed. (my brakes had failed). This was the first time I had been to this airport, so I did not know where to go to get the airplane fixed. I was given the name of Golden State Aircraft maintenance. I was a little nervous leaving my airplane at an unknown facility, but my experience with this company was extraordinary, and I was extremely pleased with the results. I called Adam the following Monday and made arrangements for them to fix the problem. I found him to be easy to work with and very accommodating. I had to deal with him remotely over the phone from my home in Oregon, which might have been a challenge, but he communicated well. and put me at ease. He quickly troubleshot the problem, and the airplane was repaired right away, and made ready to pick up. I also thought the cost was quite reasonable. These people are as good as my home maintenance facility, which I have used for some time now. I wish they were located on my home field, because I would definitely use them again to work on my airplane. I would highly recommend Golden State Aircraft Maintenance for their expertise, their great customer service, and their honesty and integrity. Brian J.
