I waited over a year to write this review so that I could also share my experience regarding the one-year warranty. I had two radically different experiences with Turner Construction for the job that included remodeling my kitchen, replacing my toilet with a bidet, and installing new flooring in the kitchen, hallway, and bathroom of my apartment.
Before I made any payment, Jeremy Turner was extremely professional. He was reliable, polite, and responsive to all of my inquires in a timely fashion. He brought me samples for the kitchen cabinets and flooring and assisted in aesthetic decisions. However, after I signed the contract and made a huge down payment, most professionalism disappeared. He no longer responded to my email and phone messages and rarely answered the phone. His manager Mike Perez had the habit of making appointments and then not showing up or canceling. It was always up to me to reschedule, which I had to do several times before he finally showed up.
There still are problems covered under the warranty that have not been fixed despite my persistent requests. The kitchen pendant lights they installed do not work. They also left a huge hole in the wall behind the bidet. Eventually, Mike Perez used a piece of plastic baseboard to cover the hole, which does not look the least bit professional. When the bidet proved to leak, they did arrange for a plumber to fix it but then sent me the large bill even though I had already paid for installation.
Positives are that they honored their promise of demolishing my old kitchen and installing the new one within a two-week window and that Jeremy does indeed have artistic skills. The kitchen would be beautiful if the pendant light were not defective.
I am disappointed that Turner Construction proved to have low standards for the quality of their work and such a lack of professionalism the moment they have been given a large down payment.
