Apparently, this company signed up to be a service provider for Choice Home warranty, and Amazon services. Unfortunately, for me, I was assigned this company as my service provider through choice home warranty.
After several missed schedule appointments and phone number mixups , on 04/13/23 A&J sent a repairman out to my home for my refrigerator repair. The ice machine was not working.
The repairman required the copay immediately, didn't accept checks or credit cards. He would only accept cash or some sort of bank payment. None of this payment information was provided when I confirmed my appointment. I had to borrow the cash from my neighbor. I gave him the cash and he couldn't write a receipt, it would be emailed to me. He never emailed the receipt. I had to call and request the email of the receipt.
The problem was diagnosed as a bad motor in the ice maker. The ice maker must be replaced. He told me it would take about a week for the approval process and receiving the part.
It's two weeks later, 4/27, the A&J repairman never came back with the part or provided any further service or contact with me. The company has ignored all my calls. This company hardly ever answers the phone, no one apparently is in their office. They never returned my Phone Mail messages even though their recorded message states they return calls within two hours.
Finally, after many complaints about A&J to Choice Home Warranty, and the inability of Choice Home Warranty to reach A&J or get a response from them, I was assigned a new service provider and must start the repair process over again. I'm not sure what happened with A&J and their relationship with Choice. However, if you are a member of Choice and get assigned A&J Appliance as you service provider ask for a different company. If you need a service provider don't use A&J Appliance.
