contacted Inspired Specialties on July 1 to order two custom laser-engraved memorial granite plaques. Becky Lawin told me the process was straightforward and that they would be completed in 1-2 days. Unfortunately, that timeline was never met. Throughout the month, communication was very inconsistent. It was common to wait several days for responses to text messages, and I repeatedly had to follow up for updates. On one occasion, I received a late-night response around 11:00 p.m. that contained incorrect information about my order, which left me with little confidence that my project was being handled carefully. I was given multiple completion dates that came and went, including promises for "last week," "the weekend," "Tuesday," and then "later this week." Each time, the deadline passed without the order being completed. After waiting nearly a month for what was originally presented as a 1-2 day project, I finally requested that the plaques either be completed by Wednesday with an appropriate discount for the delay or that the order be canceled. The response was simply that the order would be canceled. I was also told that work on the plaques had already begun, yet the order was canceled immediately without any discussion, which left me questioning whether any work had actually been started. These plaques were memorials for a dear friend who passed away, making the delays and lack of communication especially disappointing. I understand that delays can happen, but clear communication and realistic expectations are essential-particularly when handling memorial items. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
