The towing company picked my vehicle up from an accident on Monday morning and was instructed to take the vehicle to Cortese Dodge (Cortese Body Shop) from the accident scene. The tow driver was told by the responding officer to putt ahead and stop to discuss everything with my husband and I as he moved us out of traffic for safety reasons. The tow driver ignored his request and drove by my husband and I with my vehicle. On Wednesday I called the body shop because I had not heard anything about what happened with my vehicle. The body shop never received my car or were aware it was supposed to be going there. I called the tow company and was told "yeah well sometimes dealerships don't like to pay just because we ask for a check so your car is sitting here on the tow lot." They refused to let me speak with an owner and kept hanging up on me after telling me the tow guy is "a little old to be lying." All this even though they were told we would pay the tow fee up front and get reimbursed through my car insurance. So they took it upon themselves to just take my car to their tow lot - without permission and against the direction given to them by police - and proceeded to charge me storage fees. This tow company is a scam and I have reported them. Beware.
