Seem like nice people at first, but I had a horrible experience renting one of their properties. They are almost impossible to get ahold of. When I was moving out, my new property manager needed a review of me as a tenant in order to approve my application. I lost four potential apartments because it took Southside Investments three weeks to get back to any potential property owners. One company had called and emailed Southside Investments 5 days every week for three weeks. They only got a reply because I called them for the seventh time in those three weeks and someone finally took care of it. I have had a broken heater during the winter for over one month and a half after filling out multiple maitenance reports and sending them to the company. I had to call again to ask why no one has contacted me about the maitenance reports, and they confirmed they had received the maitenance reports but gave no explanation as to why no one had shown up to fix this and a few other things in the apartment. After calling and rescheduling for the third time, they once again did not show up. it is still winter, my heater is still broken (which is illegal). My apartment became unlivable at one point in the summer because my AC was broken-in my attic apartment- and no one would come to fix it. When I asked to be moved to an open apartment that was much larger and nicer for $25 more than my extremely small, not up to code apartment the owner rudely told me I could not transfer- even though I was reading my lease contract to him, as it stated I could transfer apartments at any time. His explanation was that it was too inconvenient for him.
Overall, horrible experience.
