As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I love to work with Individuals, adolescents, families and married couples. I utilize a client centered approach using the methods of cognitive behavior, solution-focus, and reality-based therapy. I have been happily married for over 30 years, have raised 2 sons, and have been blessed with a grandson. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2008 I had some difficult decisions to make. I was 6 years into running my own home-based business when the economic down-turn occurred and the income I depended on to support my family began to dry up. It was frightening and an incredibly challenging time in my life. Yet out of hardship always comes opportunity. With the loving support of my wife and children, I weighed my options and made the decision that was right for my soul. I went back to school to obtain my Master’s degree and pursue a career in helping others. Not an easy choice at this stage of life! I realized that I have always enjoyed working with, and especially for others. For over 25 years, I have served one week each summer as a church camp counselor and director for children ages 12 -18, truly the highlight of each and every summer. When my 2 boys were growing up, I loved to coach their teams in sports, so much so that I continued on coaching my nephews soccer team and I am still currently a soccer coach for a Boys and a Girls team at a local area high school. I graduated from Lindenwood University in 2012 with my Master’s Degree in Counseling and have worked the past 4 years with Agape Christian Counseling Service. I am so very blessed to have my own private practice starting in 2018. I am looking forward to the great opportunity before me to continue to serve others in their growth and healing.
