As noted in a previous review, Blake Landscaping is not a reputable contractor. I hired him to take down some trees, construct a road and install riprap at the shoreline of my lake property. He accepted a $3400.00 deposit to work me into their schedule. To his credit, he did show up on time to clear the lot, worked for half a day and was stopped by a HOA representative in my neighborhood. After I cleared up the HOA misunderstanding, he never returned. He left me hanging for over 6 months with an excuse of the weather, equipment breakdowns and other obligations, and stalled out his excuses until my work permit expired. After requesting him to return the balance of my deposit, since he couldn't complete the work, all communications ended. I only received back my deposit after filing a Small Claims Court complaint in Vance County last month (May 2020). I would only hire this contractor if you don't want your work done and you enjoy going to court.

On 6/6/2019 Chad came to our property, typed up an estimate, and was given a deposit of $3500 to put us on his schedule. The total estimate was $8500. I have a receipt for the $3500 deposit that he received. A few times both Chad Blake , and his employee Payne Watson came out to the property and performed some of the work, always with hiccups, and no communication. The row of trees was taken down by chainsaw, skidsteer, and then used a dump truck to move to the neighbors pastures. The area where the concrete pad would be, was never actually "graded", and ready for forms or concrete. He gave me the run around about finishing the job for about a month. Equipment sat here while excuses were being made. Multiple "Vacations", child being sick, too hot to pour concrete, the communication was few and far between and sometimes happened when I asked. On July 30th he stated a refund check would be in the mail to me. There have been multiple times he has told myself, and law enforcement that he has mailed a check for the amount of $3000 as a refund for the work that had not been completed He has ceased communication. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS.
