If I was able to give this company a no star rating, I would. The owner of Grace Contractors, LLC, is highly unprofessional in his business ethics with paying employees on time and in proper form. My husband worked for this company, the owner James Anthony Lynch Jr. failed to pay for the hours worked on pay day. Pay day was suppose to be weekly on Fridays. The owner could not pay my husband for the work he had completed during his time. My husband refused to return to work until his pay check was paid in full and even then with the possibility of not coming back to work for James. The excuse for weeks now is he does not have the funds to pay out his employees until the checks from the people he has contracted through have cleared the bank. This is clearly not how any company should work. Companies should have the funding to pay their employees for the work and hours they have completed even if the checks from the contractors have not cleared the bank. My husband has been told every day on the phone the check should clear tomorrow and I can pay you, yet tomorrow just turns into another day of hearing it will be tomorrow. This company is not currently listed on BBB, but after research, we have decided if my husband does not receive his pay this week, then he will be filing a claim through the North Carolina Labor Board to handle this matter before taking it to an attorney, in hopes that either James Lynch Jr. will pay my husband this week or that the NC Labor Board will handle this matter without having to take this to court.
