Emily Cruz . The biggest waist of air on planet. Buys a car with over 230k miles
Sold as is no warranty signs multiple documents. We didn’t even want to sell them a car but they only had little money to spend.. calls multiple days later and says car needs work. Advised customer car sold as is . Complains and lies to dmv . Dmv contacts this thing and also advises here of what she purchased.. unfortunately just like we always advise customers buy little better car Spend what you can afford..
Know one told her to buy a car No one told her not to have car inspected before they spent money.. But as she said police where called because this person has no class and only thing out of her mouth was Lywer. But they are aware never to come back to property again...Just a bad apple

TLDR; **Buyer Beware**: I wish I could give zero stars. If you’re thinking about taking your hard earned money here (Southern Auto Wholesalers, LLC) to buy a used car, PLEASE look elsewhere. There were lies told, attempts at intimidation tactics, attempts to play the victim, and the police were called on customers rather than any attempts made to properly conduct business. To truly put things in perspective, please note that there was strongly consideration into not posting at all/refraining from putting any specific details to avoid any retalition from “Gio,” whom The Buyers dealt with.
**FULL review: Please note that these events will be recounted with respect to two parties, referred to as “The Buyers” and “Gio.” Gio is *allegedly* the name of the man who handled the sale of the car and represents this business. NOTE: it is unclear at this time if “Gio” is even his real name. According to the details about the business available online, the owner’s name is not “Gio” (or anything similar.)
The Buyers went to the lot located at 1802 N Woodland Blvd in Deland to look at a specfic vehicle they’d seen advertised online. To cut to the chase: Gio diverted the attention from the car The Buyers intended to buy and The Buyers instead bought a car, at Gio’s recommendation. Gio said that this other car had been on the lot for only about two months, that he’d actually regularly driven it himself, that it had “no issues” (Gio’s words) and that all the problems that The Buyers did encounter and question after test driving were “purely cosmetic.” The Buyers pay in cash, Gio gives The Buyers a receipt and a copy of the paperwork and staples his personal business card, telling The Buyers to “Call [him] if there are any problems!” and with peace of mind, The Buyers leave.
•Disclaimer: The Buyers never expected a used vehicle to truly be perfect in any way. This is not the first time The Buyers made this kind of purchase and The Buyers know that used cars are typically fixer-uppers. This WAS however a first time purchase from this dealer/business and was supposed to be a “first car” for a relative.
The Buyers took the car to a mechanic a few days after the sale. The amount of issues that mechanic found were insane, ($2000+ in repairs.) Additionally, many of the issues were so bad that the mechanic said that it’s a futile effort to even bother repairing them. The Buyers ended up with a car that is riddled with issues making it a bad investment and a major safety hazard, basically a death trap speeding downhill into a junkyard.
The Buyers called Gio back on the same day that the mechanic looked at it and Gio became very nasty and aggressive over the phone when The Buyers explained the findings. A complete 180° shift from how Gio acted when first conducting business. Gio refused to help us and actually became enraged at the mention of legal action being taken. Another relative of The Buyers agreed to call and speak with Gio to try and get him to reconsider.
Gio told this relative that he would have his mechanic take a look at the car and fix what he can and even gave The Buyers a specific day to bring the car back in. The Buyers get there on the day he said, patiently wait for nearly an hour as Gio deals with other clients, and when The Buyers finally get to speak with Gio, he once again he pulls a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Gio says that he never told The Buyers to come by and that for his mechanic to look at it The Buyers will have to incur the expenses.
An argument ensues and rather than handle the issue like he’d said over the phone, Gio calls the police. Gio exaggerates to the 9-1-1 operator and blows the situation out of proportion in order to have officers there quickly in an attempt to intimidate The Buyers. The Buyers weren’t phased as they hadn’t done anything wrong. All parties waited for the police to arrive, the police took statements and The Buyers intend to take legal action against Gio and Soutern Auto Wholesalers LLC.
Moral of the story: this man, “Gio” just wants your money and will say anything to get into your pockets. Please find a more reputable business and do not invest any money, time, or energy into this place. It is concerning when you think of how many others have potentially been taken advantage of and it is The Buyers hope that this review deters people from going here and suffering a similar fate.
