This free tool will tell visitors what they can expect to pay when registering a new or used vehicle in thestate of SD. The only fee it does not account for is a late filing fee – since this will vary depending on the registrar. The only information users need to know that isn't already obvious to them is the unladen weight of their vehicle. This can be found by searching online, in the user's manual, or in an informationpanel somewhere on their vehicle.If the user isn't a South Dakota resident, they will need to get a valid SD license before they can register their vehicle.
