BE WARNED Ed Hughes of North Ga Septic IS NOT a man of his word.Once he has your money you will never see him again!Don't believe me? Look him up on Better Business Bureau. After having spent 11000 dollars for a new septic system to be installed, I was experiencing sewage ponding in my front yard at the drain field. I called Ed Hughes and asked him to please come look at it. Ed Hughes told me he would help me correct it. Days, weeks and months went by as I continued to call him and the same story, I'll be there next week. He never showed up. Finally with the help of the Murray County Inspector Jason and Ed's own son in law Chip, we determined that the septic tanks were flooding every time it rained causing the water ponding at the drain field. After digging up the tanks and inspecting the tanks/lines/risers for possible leaks we found the main drain line from our house to the septic tank was broken pulled apart under the back porch beneath the concrete slab allowing rain ground water to enter the septic tanks. Their is only one explanation for this, it was pulled apart during the removal of the old septic system, it didn't just come apart by itself. I had to cut the concrete, dig and repair the broken line myself because Ed Hughes WOULD NOT help me. In addition to lack of Ed's help and being lied to over and over we found several other problems. These problems were witnessed by myself, the Murray County Inspector and Chip. Fact 1 main septic tank not buried deep enough causing no down hill slope from the house to the tank. Fact 2 all inlet and outlet lines were not sealed off properly allowing rain water to enter the tank. Fact 3 tank riser was not sealed allowing rain water to enter the tank. Fact 4 he failed to install a baffle T at the inlet of the main septic tank. Fact 5 main drain line from the house to the septic tank broken causing it to fill with rain ground water. In addition to the original cost of the new system I've spent over 2000 dollars and countless hours of my time correcting his mistakes. Needless to say I Would Not Recommend North Ga Septic to anyone!
