The Surgery Center of Charleston is an independent, accredited surgical facility. The Center provides the highest quality outpatient surgical services and pre/post-operative care, while controlling costs and focusing on patient convenience. The facility was specifically designed for outpatient surgery and has been staffed and supplied with all equipment and personnel necessary to meet the needs of children and adults requiring surgery and general anesthesia. It is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC) and, earlier, by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our Operating Rooms meet or exceed the same rigorous standards imposed on major hospitals.
