Unprofessional, late to appointments, didn't respond to messages, didn't finish the project and ghosted us. 0/5 would not recommend.

I do not recommend working with this company. I hired Ortiz Mora Construction to build brick stairs and metal handrails for my back door. The stairs were completed, but the handrails were never installed. After weeks of follow-ups and repeated assurances from Cesar Mora (owner) that the work would be finished once materials arrived, there was no progress. A partial refund was agreed to but never provided, and communication eventually stopped. A different contractor later confirmed the stairs were not built with proper grounding for handrails, making completion significantly more complex and costly (3x original estimate) than if it had been done correctly during the initial build. Additionally, Ortiz Mora Construction advertises as licensed, but I was unable to verify a license through the NC state contractor license search.
