Dr. Harry McCoy was born in Norfolk, VA. He received a BA in psychology at the University of Virginia and earned his MD at the University of Virginia Medical School. Dr. McCoy completed his internship, residency, and four-year fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Florida. He is board certified in medical oncology, hematology, internal medicine, as well as hospice and palliative care. Dr. McCoy is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology, Medical Society of Virginia, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Southwest Virginia Medical Society.
