This was such an awful experience. At first, working with Julian seemed like an ideal situation for our small business. We had a long first phone call which included discussing pricing and things we needed done like SEO work and upgrading our website. We were told $2250 for 4 months of SEO work through the professional plan (pay for 3 months at $750 and get one month free) and that while we were working with this company we would get our website hosted for free for one year, then it would be $45/month. After verbally agreeing to these terms we were sent a contract that had an extra $750 charge on it for building the website. Despite that not being previously discussed, we agreed to pay it because it was a reasonable charge. So we signed the contract and made the payment. After some issues with our current site host (that we are not blaming Julian for), we were told we would have full access to someone at Rank By Monday at any time. The first weekend our website was down (not sure whose fault but nevertheless) and we could not access anyone from Rank By Monday. When we finally got contact from them on the following Monday, they sent us an email stating it would be an extra $1800 to host our website and that we had to pay it because he didn't put the words "website hosting" in the contract, only "website design" and Julian informed us we should "read the contract fully" next time we sign one. Then when questioned about the $1800 charge, Julian went on to say that we only actually paid for the basic package ($250/month) and even went as far to send me a link to the basic package. WE PAID FOR THE PROFESSIONAL AT $750/MONTH! He didn't even know what package we paid for. He also said i never spoke to him about upgrading the website on our first call, which was untrue. We spent most of the call discussing that to the point that he even sent me website templates. Our website was never switched to their hosting system and NO SEO work was done so we decided to not move forward with their company. When we asked for a refund, we were promised one for over a week. (See attached photos). We were given two people to contact and they refused to respond to emails or phone calls. They won't give me contact information for anyone in management. Overall, this was a bait and switch. I'm honestly not even sure if this is a real company. It says Plant City, FL but every "management" person is out of Texas. At every turn there were more charges that he never discussed or told me different pricing for. We are now a small, family owned business who has lost $3,000 and are now being told we have to file a lawsuit to get the money, despite being told our refund had been processed. 0/10 do not recommend. And if you look closely, most of their reviews were written after this situation happened as if they were anticipating us writing poor reviews once they went back on their word and refused the refund they initially promised IN WRITING. We waited to write this review to see if they would make this right as they stated.
