Working at Table Tap came with its share of challenges, primarily due to high employee turnover and a difficult work culture shaped by the owner's management style. Although Table Tap is one of the two pioneering companies and has been in the industry longer than many competitors, it has struggled to keep up with younger companies that have quickly grown larger. Much of the instability in the U.S. team stems from the way the owner operates, which limits growth and retention-issues that competitors have managed to avoid. After nearly seven years of loyalty, I was unexpectedly let go, ironically for "going above and beyond for customers" - seemingly due more to personal motivations from the CEO than professional reasons. As the "Christian" mentioned in ALL customer reviews, I often worked to rebuild relationships with clients after conflicts created by the owner strained rapport. Additionally, I was regularly forced to work late hours and cover shifts on my days off, yet I am still owed significant overtime that was never compensated. Table Tap primarily operates as a U.S. distributor for UK-based technology, with engineering and support handled overseas. The technology, which looks like it was pieced together in someone's garage, struggles with frequent downtime and reliability issues that often frustrate customers. Today, there are robust, enterprise-grade self-serve solutions available that far surpass Table Tap's offerings. While Table Tap may appeal to those testing self-serve options, anyone serious about incorporating reliable self-serve technology should look elsewhere. If Table Tap addresses its management challenges, including bringing in a CEO who can provide strong, supportive leadership, it would likely improve employee retention, customer satisfaction, and its position within the Industry.
