Please do not work or let your family work for Carolina Components group. The all male senior leadership does not care about the employees and will string people along with promises of career advancement without following through. They want quiet and blind employee loyalty and will bully and pressure people to get their way. They do not provide annual raises and compensation is not at the biotech/pharmaceutical market level. Departments staffing is kept lean especially in the warehouse. It is the most obviously sexist, homophobic, and racist places to work in the triangle. The employees working in the front office are mostly white and when you walk to the back the color divide is clear with the more manual and lower paid jobs are being done by black and hispanic people. If you are looking for a company that will help you add skills and advance in your career CCG is not the right company with its stressful and toxic culture.

This place is the epitome of a American ran business filled with proud boys and no cultural competency. When I arrived for my second interview here I did not see any minority workers and the discrimination/racism was so evident you could feel the stares and uncomfortable vibe from the current employees there. All of the workers in the warehouse sported camouflage jackets with hunting boots like they were about to go hunting for deer. It was quite pitiful to say the least as I came in business casual with slacks and a button up. One of the men who interviewed me had on a camouflage American hat and seemed to have no educational background. As all the workers have been brought in by the owner with no college education , just brought in because they know them from a friendship level. I also got to take a glance at the VP's work desk and it was filled with papers and clutter everywhere. If the higher ups are sweating constantly and are running around the building with their heads cut off do you believe they have everything under wraps? Absolutely not. In other words, don't apply to this position unless you're a Caucasian male who hunts ducks in his spare time. The company I worked for previous to this one ran laps around this start up company and I was honestly giving this small business a try to really take on a bigger role, however I was so turned off during the entire interview proceeds that I'm glad we didn't move further in the hiring process. They said they would update me on my application three times in one week and I never heard back after that, which was a relief! Don't even consider applying here if you feel a work place should be diverse and have cultural competency like other companies who thrive from a multitude of various inputs. Not just one input from people who all look the same.
